Lifetime’s Aaliyah Biopic Teaser Trailer

Aaliyah was known for building mystique and great dancing. I took these attributes into consideration when developing the concept for a social media teaser to promote Lifetime’s Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B film. In the concept, we’d see our Aaliyah rehearsing in a dance studio only to have her face revealed at the very end.

The idea was so well received, it became the official teaser for the film’s campaign. I didn’t get to post it first on social as I intended. That was fine by me as Lifetime’s PR team secured its premiere on The Wendy Williams Show, a national daytime talk show.
